Do you wish to work with a residential childcare provider who is truly therapeutic in their approach to caring for children and young people?
Are you an experienced Senior looking for your next exciting step in your career, or an established Deputy Manager seeking a fresh opportunity?
We are seeking a Children’s Therapeutic Residential Deputy Manager to join and help lead a team in providing compassionate and therapeutic support to children and young people.
This warm and inviting home is located just outside of Northampton. The home provides a safe haven for up to 3 children aged 8 to 18. The home currently has one young person, so you will have the opportunity to support your Registered Manager with the referral process in the future.
The company is well-established in the local area, with a number of homes achieving “Good” and “Outstanding” outcomes from Ofsted. They specialise in therapeutically supporting young people who have been through ACEs and possible trauma. This company uses therapeutic training models, such as PACE, as well as creative approaches, to help build trust and resilience.
As a Children’s Therapeutic Residential Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining the home’s warm and homely environment while supporting both the children and your staff team. You will lead shifts, provide guidance to colleagues, and confidently deputise in the absence of your Registered Manager. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, supporting budgeting efforts, and inspiring your team by demonstrating a calm, child-focused approach. Previous experience within a residential childcare setting and a strong understanding of The Children’s Home Regulations are essential for this role.
