About the Job:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Central Finance team for an Assistant Accountant to join the team on a permanent, full time basis. Reporting to the Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for the following:

Reviewing the reconciliation of multi currency bank accounts and preparing of cash forecasts.

Reporting and managing foreign exchange transactions.

Calculation and posting of central accruals and prepayments.

Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations for the central business area.

Collating and monitoring central capital and project management costs.

Reviewing central cost centres and partnering with budget holders to provide analysis and insight

Preparation of VAT return calculations

Liaising with external auditors.

Providing additional support and cover as required to other members of the Finance and Administration Team
About You:

Be ACA/ACCA/CIMA part qualified or newly qualified

Previous experience of working within an accounts department

Proficient to a minimum of Intermediate Level in MS Excel

Excellent numeracy skills

Excellent communication skills

High attention to detail and accuracy

Able to display initiative and apply problem solving skills

Strong organisation and planning skills with ability to prioritise effectively

Ability to work to deadlines
