Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Weekend Care Assistants to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, medication assistance and meal preparation
- Support individuals in maintaining their independence and well-being during weekends
- Follow personalised care plans to ensure each individual's specific needs are met
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents or clients
- Document care provided accurately and report any concerns or changes in condition to senior staff
- Support with light domestic tasks within the care environment, ensuring a clean and safe space
Skills
- Valid driving licence and access to a reliable car
- Experience working within a care home or home care setting is advantageous
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to implement them effectively
- Good understanding of English, both written and spoken, for clear communication
- Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to assist others and improve their quality of life
