Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and cooking, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards
- Support the assembly and presentation of meals according to established recipes and procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
- Prepare ingredients in advance for service periods, including chopping, marinating, and portioning
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety standards
- Assist with serving meals to customers when required, providing friendly and efficient service
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Follow all hygiene protocols diligently to uphold cleanliness standards
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a professional kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards is advantageous
- Experience working in a restaurant or catering setting will be considered a plus
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and culinary processes is desirable
- Customer service experience, especially in serving roles, will be highly valued
