Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Part-Time Caretaker to assist with the maintenance and upkeep of Celtic Harmony Camp near Hertford.
Please note we are in a remote location you need to have your own car to buy supplies.
This role offers flexible hours suitable for individuals seeking part-time employment. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive attitude, good organisational skills, and a keen eye for detail to ensure the environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming.
Previous experience in caretaking is essential.
Responsibilities
- Conduct general maintenance of indoor and outdoor areas
- Grassland and woodland management
- Fencing erection
- Painting and decorating
- Ensure all communal spaces are kept tidy and presentable at all times
- Monitor and report any repairs or safety hazards promptly
- Waste management
- Assist with setting up and packing away equipment for events or activities
- Maintain supplies and notify management when stock levels are low
- Support with gardening tasks such as watering plants and trimming hedges
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a secure environment for all visitors and staff
Experience
- Previous experience in caretaking, cleaning, or maintenance roles is mandatory
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to caretaking duties
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
