Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Room Leader as well a Deputy Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, ensuring high standards of childcare and early childhood education are maintained. The Nursery Room Leader will also be responsible for guiding and supporting team members, fostering effective communication, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Duties
- Lead and supervise nursery staff to deliver high-quality childcare and early childhood education programmes
- Plan, organise, and implement age-appropriate activities that promote children's development
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in the nursery at all times
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's development and any concerns
- Manage daily operational tasks within the nursery, including resource management and maintaining a clean environment
- Support team members through training, mentoring, and performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and nursery policies
- Drive organisational initiatives to improve service delivery and staff engagement
Experience
- Proven management or leadership experience within a childcare setting or nursery environment
- Extensive working experience with children, preferably within early childhood education or childcare roles
- Demonstrable nursery experience with a strong understanding of child development principles
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Experience in planning educational activities tailored to different age groups
- Valid driving licence is desirable for organisational flexibility and transportation needs

Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
