Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and dynamic Reception Supervisor to oversee the front desk operations at Residence Inn by Marriott Manchester. The ideal candidate will possess excellent guest service skills, demonstrate leadership qualities, and have experience in a hotel or similar environment. This role involves supervising reception staff, ensuring smooth check-in and check-out processes, and maintaining high standards of customer service. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to cater to our diverse clientele. The Reception Supervisor will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring operational efficiency at all times.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the reception team to ensure exceptional guest service.
- Oversee guest check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide training and support to reception staff on phone etiquette, guest services, and hospitality standards.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
- Maintain high standards of organisation within the reception area, including managing reservations and room allocations.
- Assist with administrative duties such as reporting, scheduling, and maintaining guest records.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and hotel procedures.
- Support the recruitment process for new reception staff as required.
- Foster a positive team environment by motivating staff and promoting excellent customer service practices.
Experience
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred.
- Proven leadership experience in supervising front desk or guest services teams is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette, are essential.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to enhance guest interactions.
- Knowledge of hotel management systems or reservation software is beneficial.
- Experience in delivering outstanding guest services with a friendly, professional demeanour is crucial.
