Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. The ideal candidate will assist with meal preparation, food safety, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Support the catering team in setting up and clearing down dining areas
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Help with storing ingredients safely and organising stock supplies
- Ensure all food safety protocols are followed during food handling and preparation
- Serve meals to customers or guests as required, ensuring excellent customer service standards are met
- Support the team during busy periods by performing general kitchen duties as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for those new to the industry
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is beneficial
- Experience with meal preparation, food presentation, or culinary tasks will be considered an asset
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- A proactive attitude with good organisational skills and the ability to work well within a team
Pay: £13.21 per hour
