Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Pre-School Leader to oversee early childhood education programmes. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing environment that promotes learning, development, and safety for young children. The Pre-School Leader will be responsible for managing staff, engaging with parents, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality childcare services in accordance with regulatory standards.
Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of nursery staff, ensuring effective organisation and delivery of educational activities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate programmes that support early childhood development
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and wellbeing
- Ensure compliance with all childcare regulations and organisational policies
- Manage daily operations of the nursery, including staff scheduling and resource allocation
- Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, development milestones, and incident reports
- Promote positive behaviour management strategies within the nursery setting
- Support staff training and professional development initiatives to enhance team performance
Experience
- Proven management or leadership experience within early childhood education or childcare settings
- Extensive working knowledge of childcare regulations and best practices in nursery education
- Demonstrable experience working directly with children, including those with special needs or additional requirements
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with parents, staff, and external agencies
- Previous nursery experience is highly desirable
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for organisational flexibility or transporting resources as needed

Pay: £32,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
