Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our busy hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food preparation and service, and the ability to manage a team effectively. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team within a vibrant setting, ensuring high standards of food safety, customer service, and operational efficiency. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with previous supervisory or managerial experience in the hospitality industry.
Duties
- Plan and manage all restaurant operations during assigned shifts, including both dine-in and takeaway.
- Ensure all food is prepared and served according to Leads Eatery quality standards and recipes.
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional and friendly manner.
- Supervise front-of-house and kitchen staff to ensure smooth coordination and workflow during busy periods.
- Manage staff breaks, shift schedules, and ensure proper coverage during peak hours.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or wastage to management.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- Supervising experience within a hospitality or catering environment
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Excellent leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Good organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Previous experience in serving or hospitality roles such as barista or front-of-house is advantageous
