This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in school administration while gaining a nationally recognised qualification. You will receive full training and support whilst developing valuable skills and experience in a busy and rewarding school environment.
We are looking for someone who:
Is enthusiastic, motivated and keen to learn.
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Is organised, reliable and able to manage their time effectively.
Has good ICT skills and is confident using Microsoft Office applications or is willing to learn.
Can work professionally as part of a team whilst also using their own initiative.
Has a friendly and welcoming manner when dealing with children, parents, visitors and colleagues.
Understands the importance of confidentiality and professionalism.
Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in producing work to a high standard.
Is committed to providing excellent customer service and supporting the smooth running of the school.
The role will include:
Working alongside our experienced Business Support Team, you will receive training in all aspects of school administration, including:
Providing a professional and welcoming reception service for parents, visitors and telephone enquiries.
Supporting the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team and office staff with a range of administrative tasks.
Preparing letters, reports and other school documentation.
Organising meetings and events and assisting with administrative arrangements.
Maintaining electronic and paper filing systems.
Supporting the production of school communications and newsletters.
Using a range of school management systems and office software.
Ordering and maintaining office supplies.
Supporting reprographics and general office duties.
Liaising with staff, parents and external agencies in a professional manner.
Developing effective administrative systems to support the day-to-day running of the school.
