Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
- Assist chefs with food preparation tasks, ensuring all ingredients are ready for cooking.
- Help in the storage and rotation of food items to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly.
- Support the culinary team during busy service periods by providing assistance as needed.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
- Assist with the delivery of supplies and inventory management as required.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques is advantageous.
- A background in hospitality or culinary arts would be beneficial for understanding kitchen dynamics.
