About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Vehicle Diagnostic Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults, performing advanced troubleshooting, and supporting the workshop with technical expertise. Key Responsibilities
- Carry out diagnostic tests using manufacturer‑approved tools and equipment
- Identify and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults
- Provide clear, detailed reports on findings and recommended repairs
- Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and manufacturer standards
- Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and diagnostic procedures
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers when required
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in vehicle diagnostics and fault‑finding
- Strong understanding of modern vehicle systems (CANbus, sensors, ECUs, etc.)
- Ability to interpret technical data and wiring diagrams
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Manufacturer training or brand‑specific diagnostic experience
- Hybrid/EV certification
