We seek a reliable and experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our logistics team on a temporary, full-time basis. The successful candidate delivers goods safely and efficiently across the North West region, ensuring timely distribution in line with company and customer requirements. This role involves operating 7.5 tonne vehicles to transport a variety of goods, maintaining accurate delivery records, and adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Drive a 7.5 tonne vehicle to deliver goods to designated locations within the North West England area.

Load and unload goods in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring correct handling of all items.

Plan and follow the most appropriate routes to ensure timely delivery schedules are met.

Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects or maintenance issues promptly.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery records, including consignment notes and paperwork.

Comply with all relevant transport, health and safety, and company policies and procedures.

Communicate effectively with despatch and customer service teams to provide updates on delivery status.

Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and in good working order at all times.

Assist with warehouse duties as required, including stock checks and organising goods for despatch.
- Valid full UK driving licence with entitlement to drive 7.5 tonne vehicles.

Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).

Good knowledge of road safety regulations and vehicle maintenance requirements.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to complete delivery documentation accurately.
- Proven experience as a 7.5 tonne driver or in a similar driving role within logistics or distribution.

Experience in handling goods safely and efficiently.

Familiarity with delivery routes across the North West England region is advantageous.

- Strong understanding of vehicle safety checks and maintenance routines.

Excellent time management skills and ability to meet delivery deadlines.

Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physically fit to carry out loading and unloading duties safely.

Basic IT skills to handle electronic delivery systems or handheld devices.
- Experience using handheld scanning devices or electronic proof of delivery systems.

Additional driving qualifications or endorsements, such as ADR (dangerous goods) licence, if applicable.
- The role involves working full-time hours, typically Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend or overtime shifts as required.

Work is primarily conducted on the road and at loading/unloading sites.

Physical demands include lifting and carrying goods and spending extended periods driving.

The role requires adherence to health and safety regulations and the wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment when necessary.
