Sunday General Assistant (Casual)

Salary: £14.30 per hour (inclusive of annual leave enhancement)
Hours: Casual, part-time
- 2 Sundays per month
- Shifts typically 10:00am - 3:00pm or 10:00am - 6:00pm

Charney Manor, a beautiful 13th Century Conference and Retreat Centre in the Oxfordshire countryside, is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Sunday General Assistant to provide office cover and support our guests and operations.
About the Role
This is a varied position combining administration, customer service, hospitality support, marketing support and general operational duties. No two Sundays are the same.
Key responsibilities include:
- Welcoming guests and handling enquiries
- Answering telephone calls and emails
- Supporting bookings and guest administration
- Assisting with social media, newsletters, and marketing activities
- Preparing for incoming guests and conferences
- Setting up meeting rooms and conference equipment
- Processing payments and issuing invoices
- Managing resale items and stock
- Supporting housekeeping and site presentation when required
- Completing opening and closing procedures
We're Looking for Someone Who:
- Has previous administration experience
- Has strong customer service skills
- Is confident using social media and basic marketing tools
- Can work independently and use their initiative
- Is organised, flexible, and able to multitask
- Has a positive, proactive attitude
- Enjoys working as part of a small, friendly team

Charney Manor is a 13th Century Conference and Retreat Centre owned by the Society of Friends (Quakers), set in the peaceful Oxfordshire countryside. We welcome conference groups, retreat guests, bed and breakfast visitors and private functions, providing a warm and tranquil environment for all.
