Rate: £15.07 PAYE
Contract: Temporary / Long-Term Projects
Start Date: August / September
We are currently recruiting experienced and reliable Groundworker / Plant Operators / General Operatives to work on a range of highway improvement and active travel projects. The role involves assisting with the installation of new cycle lanes, road markings, traffic management systems, signage, kerbing, and associated civil engineering works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation of cycle lane infrastructure and associated street furniture.
- Assisting with road marking and lining operations.
- Kerbing, paving, excavation, and reinstatement works.
- Setting out and maintaining safe working areas.
- Working alongside traffic management teams.
- Operating hand and power tools safely.
- Ensuring all work is completed to specification and health & safety standards.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working on highways, roadworks, cycle lane projects, or civil engineering schemes.
- Valid CSCS/ CPCS Card (essential).
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
