Senior Care Home Manager – Bristol
M&M Supply is recruiting on behalf of a well-established residential service in Bristol for an experienced Senior Care Home Manager to lead and develop a specialist residential setting supporting individuals with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced manager to take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation, quality, compliance, and strategic development of a residential service, ensuring the highest standards of care and support are delivered.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong leadership and management to the residential care team.
- Ensure the home operates in line with all relevant legislation, regulations, and best practice standards.
- Promote positive outcomes and person-centred support for residents with SEMH needs.
- Lead on safeguarding, risk management, and quality assurance processes.
- Manage staffing, recruitment, supervision, training, and performance management.
- Maintain occupancy targets and contribute to service development and growth.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, local authorities, and external professionals.
- Monitor budgets and ensure effective resource management.
- Drive continuous improvement and maintain excellent standards of care and compliance.
Requirements
- Significant experience in a senior management role within residential care.
- Strong understanding of SEMH services and supporting individuals with complex emotional and behavioural needs.
- Proven leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of safeguarding, care regulations, and quality standards.
- Experience managing inspections and regulatory compliance.
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
- Relevant Health & Social Care qualification (Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent desirable).
