Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating curtinsider lorries to deliver goods efficiently across various locations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service. The position is full-time and involves delivering goods in compliance with all legal and company standards.
Duties
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, including flatbed lorries, in accordance with road regulations and company policies
- Conduct pre-journey vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper securing of cargo on flatbeds
- Deliver goods to designated locations punctually, maintaining accurate delivery documentation
- Assist with the planning of routes to optimise efficiency and minimise delays
- Maintain a professional manner when interacting with clients and colleagues
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols during operations and deliveries
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with delivery driver experience involving flatbeds
- Knowledge of current road laws and safety regulations within the UK
- Ability to operate flatbed vehicles safely and efficiently
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including early mornings or late evenings if necessary
