The role
We are looking for an experienced Business Development / Account Manager from within the traffic management industry. This is a hands-on role focused on developing new business and growing existing accounts — with a strong emphasis on winning profitable, deliverable work.
You will be responsible for:
· Identifying, approaching and converting new clients (utilities, civils contractors, surfacing, local authority supply chain, developers and events)
· Managing and growing a portfolio of existing accounts
· Building a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities
· Producing and progressing quotes with clear scope and commercial control
· Attending client meetings and site visits where required
· Working closely with Operations to ensure work is planned and delivered safely and compliantly
What we’re looking for (must-have)
· Proven experience in the traffic management industry (essential)
· Demonstrable track record in business development and/or account management
· Driven, self-motivated and organised — you take ownership and follow through
· Confident communicating with clients at all levels (site teams through to senior decision makers)
· Strong commercial awareness (you understand margin, scope control and variations)
· Full UK driving licence
What you’ll get
· £45,000–£65,000+ basic salary (depending on track record)
