Support Worker
Location: Alfreton
Hourly Rate: Day shift £13.50 per hour
Hours:
- Monday to Sunday 09:00 til 1700
We are currently hiring Female Support Workers in Derby to join our dedicated team. This role involves providing exceptional care to a female teenager with autism, complex needs, and mental health challenges, including eating disorders.

What We’re Looking For:
- Female candidates.
- Previous care experience is essential.
- A commitment to working flexible as and when required.
- Experience with Autism, Eating disorders, NG tube
- Driver is essential
- Applicants must have full, unrestricted work rights in the UK and the ability to work here on a permanent basis without employer sponsorship.
- You must hold a Enhanced Adult and Child DBS on the update service to start this role.*If you do not currently have an Enhanced Adult and Child DBS on the update service, you will be responsible for the cost of obtaining one*.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting teenage female with her day-to-day activities and promoting independence.
- Helping your client enjoy activities such as arts and crafts, and facilitating community integration and social interaction
- Ensuring client receives nutrition, hydration, and medication via NG tube
- Encourage and build her tolerance towards oral intake, with the long-term goal of reducing and ultimately removing reliance on NG feeding
- Encouraging independence for your client, while offering an appropriate level of assistance.
- Offering your client emotional reassurance and helping her manage challenges such as frustration, anxiety, or mood changes.
- Assisting her in the development and implementation of effective coping strategies.
- Providing personal care, companionship, and consistent emotional support.
