Overview
We are seeking an alterationist to join our award winning bridal boutique . We pride ourselves in offering the ultimate level of service to all our customers. The ideal candidate would have experience in altering and/or making gowns , possess a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating perfect fits for our clients’ special day . The successful applicant would be organised, efficient, and capable of managing multiple alterations simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and precision . Wedding dress alteration experience would be preferred but training support is available if you have relevant sewing experience .
Duties
- Measure clients accurately , assess and plan alterations required for wedding dresses and related garments .
- Perform sewing, fitting adjustments, and finishing touches to ensure a flawless fit
- Manage multiple alteration projects efficiently , adhering to scheduled timelines .
- Maintain a clean, organised workspace and ensure all tools and equipment are in excellent condition .
Experience
- Proven experience in dressmaking, tailoring, or garment alterations, preferably specialising in bridal wear .
- Organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks .
- Demonstrate the ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail .
Renumeration
- Wage rate will reflect successful applicants qualifications and experience .
Experience:
- Alteration or seamstress: 3 years (required)
