Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Ballet Teacher to join our vibrant dance academy. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in ballet instruction, with a keen interest in nurturing students’ technical skills and artistic expression. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging ballet classes tailored to various age groups and skill levels
- Demonstrate proper technique, posture, and movement to students, ensuring safety and injury prevention
- Develop customised training programmes that promote artistic development and technical proficiency
- Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback
- Foster a positive and motivating atmosphere that encourages students’ confidence and enjoyment of ballet
- Organise rehearsals for performances or examinations as required
- Maintain a safe, organised, and clean studio environment in accordance with health and safety standards
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance programme offerings and participate in community events or workshops
Experience
- Proven experience in teaching ballet at recognised dance schools or academies
- Qualified with a recognised dance board (eg, RAD/NCDTA)
- Knowledge of sports coaching techniques applicable to dance instruction
- Strong understanding of human anatomy relevant to dance movements and injury prevention
- Prior experience working with diverse age groups and skill levels is advantageous
- Formal ballet training or qualifications from reputable institutions are highly desirable

We are flexible with the days and times of classes and they can be worked around the successful candidate. Please note, the classes will be evenings between the hours of 5pm - 9pm
Pay: £20.00-£35.00 per hour
