The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on, enthusiastic Supervisor to join our friendly team at The Falcon Inn. If you know your way around a busy pub, have a passion for great food and drink, and love bringing out the best in a team, this is the role for you. You’ll be the glue keeping our shifts running smoothly—making sure the bar and kitchen are singing from the same hymn sheet, maintaining our high standards, and ensuring every guest leaves with a smile.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the front-of-house and bar team during shifts, keeping the energy up and the service seamless.
- Keep a close eye on food and drink service, ensuring everything meets The Falcon Inn’s high standards for quality and presentation.
- Show the ropes to new team members, training and mentoring them in top-notch customer service and pub operations.
- Keep an eye on the cellar and stock room, helping to maintain inventory levels so we never run dry on the essentials.
- Champion health, safety, and hygiene regulations across the bar, dining areas, and kitchen.
- Be the welcoming face of the pub—chatting with the locals, and handling any guest inquiries or niggles with charm and professionalism.
- Work closely with the management team to roll out exciting new menu items, seasonal ales, and pub promotions.
- Cheerlead the team! Monitor performance, offer constructive feedback, and keep morale high.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a pub, restaurant, or similar hospitality role.
- Natural leadership skills with a knack for motivating and managing a diverse, busy team.
- A solid grasp of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Brilliant communication skills—you can chat with regulars, hotel guests, and the kitchen team with equal ease.
- A cool head under pressure. When the pub gets packed, you’re in your element.
- Previous experience pulling pints, working behind a bar, or managing a restaurant team is a massive plus.
- A genuine passion for proper hospitality and making people happy.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.70-£13.50 per hour
