This is an opportunity within the cardio-respiratory diagnostic team at Withybush General Hospital for an administrator with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. The post holder will work with the administrative co-ordinator and admin team, booking cardiac and respiratory diagnostic investigations and cardiac procedures, delivering services efficiently and to the highest standards.
The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, as communicating sensitively with patients and colleagues is essential. An understanding of the department's core work, patient clinical pathways, and experience using hospital systems would be beneficial. However, an enthusiasm for the provision of high-quality services, eagerness to learn and develop, and excellent organisational skills to prioritise work and meet deadlines are highly regarded.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
The post-holder will undertake a wide range of duties including:
Registering referrals, booking appointments, and recording outcomes for cardiac and respiratory diagnostic investigations and appointments.
Facilitating the delivery of timely care, by ensuring lists clinic schedules are maximised.
Responding to patient and staff enquiries by phone, email and in person.
General administrative support of day-to-day service operations.
