The Role
We are recruiting for a Buyer to join a leading manufacturing business in Antrim. This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional to take ownership of key purchasing activities, build supplier relationships, and contribute to the company's ongoing growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of suppliers and purchasing commodities
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply agreements
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Support sourcing strategies and cost reduction initiatives
- Conduct supplier performance reviews and audits
- Manage material costing and purchasing activities for customer programmes
- Work closely with Production, Planning, Materials Control, and other internal teams
- Ensure the timely supply of materials to meet production requirements
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier data
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a Buyer, Purchasing Officer, or Procurement role
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment preferred
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems
