We are currently looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our growing team at The Oaksmere. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, leads by example, and is forward-thinking with the ability to use their own initiative.
This is not an office-based role. We are looking for a fully operational manager who will be present on the floor, leading the team, supporting service, engaging with guests, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the restaurant and wider hotel operations.
About the Role
As Restaurant Manager, you will oversee the daily restaurant operation while delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high standards across all areas of service. You will work closely with the kitchen, reception, and front of house teams to create a positive and professional environment for both guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day restaurant operation
- Identify and delegate responsibilities to staff to ensure objectives are achieved
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high hospitality standards
- Lead from the front during busy service periods
- Motivate, coach, and develop the restaurant team
- Handle guest feedback and resolve complaints professionally and confidently
- Monitor cleanliness and health & safety standards
- Support the implementation of company procedures and operational improvements
- Ensure all staff understand and deliver excellent guest service
- Work closely with all departments to ensure smooth operations throughout the hotel
- Assist with reception check-ins and check-outs when required
- Assist in all areas of the restaurant and hotel during busy periods
- Be proactive, forward-thinking, and confident using your own initiative to improve operations and guest experience
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous restaurant management experience within hospitality
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Passion for hospitality and guest experience
- Ability to motivate and manage staff effectively
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Forward-thinking attitude with the ability to work independently and use initiative
- Ability to work calmly under pressure in a busy environment
- Knowledge of food service, restaurant operations, and health & safety standards
- Computer literate and confident using standard software systems
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and busy operational periods
