Storeman – Exceeds National Minimum Wage Dependent On Experience. Role will be a full time (hours structure to be decided) but may increase to suit the needs of the business during busy times. Permanent.
- Responsibility for running all storage yard activities, reporting any issues to the Operations Manager, i.e delays, damages etc
- Receiving deliveries into the warehouse, unloading with forklift truck
- Unpacking deliveries into racking
- Report goods received onto XmoMan Stock Control System
- Receiving pick requests from Operations Manager and picking materials (for heavy or large items a second worker maybe required and you are to liaise with Operations Manager to arrange the same in advance of the shipment date)
- Ensuring goods are packed safely, securely, to protect from damage and with consideration to manual handling
- Checking off goods picked against required pick lists
- Complete stock count at least weekly if an item has been picked from
- Reporting back any discrepancies between the required stock amounts and current stock level
- Label each rack with item details
- Note location of each item in XmoMan Stock Control system
- Ensure stock levels are maintained to minimum quantities set in XmoMan Stock Control System
- Booking transport to coincide with dates materials are required on site, liaising with Operations Manager/Project Coordinators to agree budget
- Ordering packaging and pallets and maintaining a stock level of the same
- Be responsible for the proper use of company assets, i.e tools and forklift truck and reporting any issues as they occur
- Assembling some of the flat pack signage to be transported assembled in order to reduce time for the installation team on site
- Maintain Health & Safety standards in accordance with Health & Safety ACT 1974 and Management of Health & Safety at Work (ACOP) 1999.
- Following safe systems of work provided.
Role requirements:
Counterbalance forklift licence
Computer literate and a good communicator both spoken and written
Manual Handling
Experience of running a small warehouse
Full Driving Licence, additional Categories a bonus i.e C1.
