We’re currently hiring for a full-time Class 2 (Cat C) driver at our Middlesbrough depot. The role will include multi drop delivery of orders to our independent convenience store customers. You will be working as part of a key supportive team within the depot, where you will take ownership for loading your lorry in a morning and then ensuring the delivery of a customer’s order while providing excellent customer service with a positive, problem-solving response to individual customer needs and always going that extra mile.
What will you be doing as a Class 2 (Cat C) Delivery Driver?
- Multidrop delivery of customers’ orders in cages and on pallets in an organised and timely fashion
- Loading your lorry according to your daily route while following all CPC regulations
- Dealing with Customer queries and payments upon delivery
- Taking responsibility for the zone and lorry that you work in; this includes ensuring good housekeeping standards are maintained
- Supporting other departments as required
What do you need to be a Class 2 (Cat C) Delivery Driver?
- You must have a good understanding of tachograph rules and regulations.
- Confident using tail lifts
- You will be able to demonstrate excellent customer service
- Candidates must be CPC qualified and must not have more than 6 points on their license to be considered for the role.
- Excellent work ethic is required, as well as punctuality and reliability
- Initiative and the capability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and careful precision to meet targets
