Zen Educate is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join primary schools in Taunton.
We are seeking individuals to provide both general classroom support and 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children learn and thrive, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the classroom, working alongside teachers to create a positive and effective learning environment. You will have the chance to:
- Support the whole class, assisting with a range of activities and ensuring all pupils are engaged.
- Provide 1:1 support for students who may have Special Educational Needs (SEN) or require extra help to stay on track.
- Help prepare the classroom for lessons and tidy up afterwards.
- Listen to children read and help with small group activities.
- Assist in managing classroom behaviour and promoting a safe, inclusive atmosphere.
- Accompany classes on school trips and outings.
This role is varied and rewarding, allowing you to build strong relationships with pupils and see their progress firsthand.

- Experience working with children, either in a school setting or a similar role (e.g., nursery, youth club, care work).
- A patient, flexible, and positive attitude.
- The ability to work well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
