Axcis are looking for a higher-level teaching assistant for an innovative school in Sutton with a good reputation and friendly atmosphere. As a HLTA, you will work closely with senior members of staff to support the learning of primary aged pupils.
Key duties include:
- Supporting the planning, preparation and delivery of engaging lessons for the Year 6 curriculum
- Delivering targeted learning and intervention programmes, both 1:1 and in small groups.
- Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
- Promoting an inclusive learning environment through collaborative work with pupils, teachers and support staff.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold HLTA qualifications
- Have experience supporting young people with SEND needs.
- Demonstrate confidence in leading lessons and managing classroom behaviour.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Have a flexible and positive approach to supporting students
