We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Motor Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicle and machinery issues. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and machinery to identify faults using schematics and technical manuals
- Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to carry out assembly, repair, and modification tasks
- Interpret technical diagrams and schematics to facilitate accurate repairs
- Carry out heavy lifting as required for parts replacement or equipment handling
- Maintain detailed records of work performed for each vehicle or machine
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs needed and answering client queries effectively
- Assist in routine maintenance tasks to prevent future breakdowns
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Motor Mechanic or similar role with a strong mechanical knowledge base
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
- Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and electronic diagnostics is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple repair tasks simultaneously
- Good communication skills for liaising with customers and team members
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in automotive or mechanical engineering are preferred
