Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will posses leadership qualities, culinary experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist the Head Chef in managing daily operations, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained.
Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations.
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
- food preparation activities, including cooking, plating, and garnishing dishes to meet established standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment, adhering to strict hygiene protocols.
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock ordering, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Enforce food safety practices across the team, including temperature controls and allergen management.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
