Job Overview
We are a small, rapidly growing family‑run pest control business based in the UK, and we’re looking for a reliable, proactive Virtual Assistant who can become a key part of our operations.
You will be supporting three admin staff, one of whom will shortly be going on maternity leave. This role is essential to keeping the business running smoothly as we continue to expand.
This position works very well alongside an existing project or client workload, because the activity can be sporadic throughout the day, especially outside peak periods. However, we are scaling quickly, and we expect the demand for your support to increase significantly over the coming months.

You won’t be “just a VA” — you’ll be supporting the core of our operations and helping us deliver a smooth, reliable service to our customers.
Your Primary Responsibilities
1. Immediate Lead Handling (Bark) – Top Priority
We receive a high volume of inquiries through Bark, and we need someone who can:
Monitor Bark in real time
- Immediately purchase relevant leads (following our rules)
- Call the customer straight away
- Qualify the job using our script
- Secure the booking and add it to our booking system
- Update our CRM with all details
- Speed is everything in this industry — the faster we respond, the more jobs we secure.
2. Answering Incoming Calls & Securing Bookings
You will also be responsible for:
- Answering inbound customer calls
- Handling new enquiries professionally
- Converting calls into confirmed bookings
- Managing reschedules and follow‑ups
- Sales or call‑centre experience is a strong advantage, as this role requires confidence, clarity, and the ability to guide customers toward booking.
3. CRM & Admin Tasks
You will also:
- Update our CRM with job notes and customer details
- Create and send invoices
- Write up job‑cards for our technicians
- Manage our shared inbox
- Keep records tidy and organised
- These responsibilities will expand as you become more familiar with our systems.
Experience
What We’re Looking For
- Excellent spoken English
- Confident and friendly phone manner
- Fast, proactive, and organised
- Sales or call‑centre experience is highly beneficial
- Experience with Bark (or similar lead platforms) is a huge advantage
- Comfortable learning new systems
- Able to work UK hours or overlap
- Trustworthy and reliable — this role involves handling customer data and bookings
Hours & Payment
Starting at £12.71 with the potential to earn extra commission through securing Bark Leads
We are open to discussing alternative arrangements that work well for both sides, especially as demand increases.
This role is ideal for someone who wants flexible work that fits around other clients or commitments, with the potential for significant growth as our business expands.
Hours-wise, we are open to discussion, as we are planning to hire two candidates, so to ensure we have full coverage of the hours needed, we shall work with both candidates to find what works best for both.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
