The Role
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Electrician to carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and associated remedial works across domestic and commercial properties.
This is a key safety-critical role ensuring all electrical installations meet current regulations and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out EICRs in line with the latest BS7671 Wiring Regulations
- Identify, record, and report electrical defects and non-compliances
- Complete EICR documentation accurately (paper or digital)
- Undertake remedial works following unsatisfactory reports
- Consumer unit replacements, bonding, fault finding, and wiring upgrades
- Ensure all work is fully compliant, tested, and certified
- Liaise professionally with tenants, landlords, clients, and managing agents
- Maintain high standards of safety, workmanship, and customer service
- Manage workload independently while meeting deadlines and targets
- Use tools, materials, and PPE correctly and safely at all times
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
- City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (or equivalent Testing & Inspection)
- Proven experience completing EICRs and remedial works
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards and legislation
- Full UK driving licence
- Excellent fault-finding, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and time-management skills
Desirable (but not essential)
- Commercial electrical experience
- Heating controls wiring
- Renewable technologies wiring (solar PV, heat pumps, EV chargers)
