Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality and taste. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with fellow kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure food safety and hygiene practices are followed at all times.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and portioning.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety procedures.
- Participate in menu planning and development as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and culinary techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
