Your duties will include:
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation and presentation to ensure consistent quality.
- Working with the kitchen team to prepare and present diverse dishes from A la carte menus to large scale banquets and events.
- Ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently during peak times.
- Creating menus that incorporate fresh, seasonal produce, while reflecting current food trends and accommodating dietary requirements to ensure a diverse and appealing offering for all guests.
- Monitoring kitchen resources effectively to minimise waste and maximise efficiency.
- Managing inventory, overseeing food deliveries, and maintaining effective stock control to support cost efficiency.
- Ensuring all kitchen staff adhere to food safety, hygiene, and quality standards at all times.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing the wider kitchen team to maintain high standards and support career progression.
- Taking responsibility for food cost control, labour budgets, and overall kitchen performance.
- Working closely with senior management to drive menu development, promotions, and operational improvements.
- Supporting recruitment, training, and performance management within the kitchen team.
What We're Looking For:
- A passionate and experienced chef with a proven track record in a culinary setting.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent team management and communication skills.
- A creative approach to menu design and presentation, bringing fresh ideas to every dish.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring consistent quality and high standards.
- Previous experience as a Head Chef in a high volume environment.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing costs and budgets.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop large kitchen teams.
