Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional waitstaff to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided to the right candidate. A strong focus on food safety, time management, and guest satisfaction is essential to succeed in this position.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system
- Serve meals, drinks, and other items promptly and courteously
- Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to during service and food preparation
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the service area
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while respecting guest preferences
- Manage multiple tables efficiently during busy periods, demonstrating excellent time management skills
- Maintain a clean and tidy dining area, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries or special requests, ensuring a positive experience
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of service
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for enthusiastic learners
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper serving techniques is desirable
- Familiarity with basic food preparation and kitchen operations is a plus
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions
