Pharmacy Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT)

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per year (Depending on experience)

About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and highly organized Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) to join our fast-paced pharmacy team in Shepperton. Supporting a busy dispensary with a monthly volume of approximately 13,000 items, you will play a critical role in ensuring the final accuracy of prescriptions and maintaining the highest standards of patient safety.
You will be working alongside a supportive team of 6–7 staff members, managing a high-volume workload while providing excellent service to our local community.
Working Hours
Total: 40 hours per week
Monday – Friday: 09:00 – 17:30
Saturdays: Occasional (1 or 2 per month), 09:00 – 13:00
Key Responsibilities
Conduct final accuracy checks on dispensed prescriptions in accordance with SOPs.
Work closely with the Pharmacist and dispensing team to ensure efficient workflow.
Assist in the dispensing process and management of stock, including date checking.
Ensure all clinical and legal requirements are met (GPhC standards).
Liaise with GP surgeries and patients to resolve queries professionally.
Requirements
Must hold a recognized ACT (Accuracy Checking Technician) qualification.
Proven experience in a high-volume community pharmacy
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude.
Ability to start ASAP.
