Jamestan Engineering Limited, have a vacancies for both CNC operators & operator / setters.
The successful applicant will ideally be able to demonstrate mechanical and / or engineering practical experience. Must be reliable with good time keeping and be willing to learn.
Responsibilities include:
- Running batch work and checking dimensions using various items of measuring equipment
- Desirable - Setting CNC machines to existing programs
- Filling in paperwork in accordance with our procedures
- Completing daily machine checks
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Skills:
- Experience of operating CNC machines
- Able to read and understanding engineering drawings
- Following job route cards (process sheets)
- Basic IT knowledge
- Basic engineering knowledge
Desirable Skills:
- Experience of setting CNC machines to pre set programs
Full time position.
Working week 38 hours - Shift work.
Shift work – Alternating earlies / lates.
Earlies - Monday to Thursday 06:00 to 14:00; Fridays 06:00 to 12:00 (38 Hours)
Lates - Monday to Thursday 14:00 to 23:30 (38 Hours)
Friday / Saturday overtime when available.
Remuneration: £12.71 to £14.00 basic per hour depending upon experience plus 20% shift premium (£15.25 to £16.80).
Holidays 25 days per year plus bank holidays.
