Electrical Design Engineer - The Role:
As part of the electrical engineering team, you'll be responsible for the design and development of control panel systems used on a variety of process and automation projects.

Producing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical

Designing cost-effective electrical solutions that meet customer specifications and industry standards

Working closely with mechanical, controls and project engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle

Supporting the panel build team during manufacture and testing

Managing design revisions and engineering change documentation

Participating in design reviews and technical discussions

Supporting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) activities when required
Electrical Design Engineer - The Person:
We're interested in engineers who enjoy solving technical problems and taking ownership of their designs.

A qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline

Experience producing electrical designs for control panels, machinery or industrial systems

Good knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN or similar electrical design software

An understanding of electrical standards and engineering best practice

Strong communication skills and attention to detail

A practical engineering mindset with the ability to develop effective solutions
Experience with machine safety or functional safety standards such as ISO 13849 would be advantageous but is not essential.
This role would suit an Electrical Design Engineer, Control Panel Design Engineer, EC&I Engineer, Electrical Controls Engineer or Automation Engineer looking to join a business where engineering quality and employee development are genuinely valued.
