Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Sofa Frame Maker to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing high-quality sofa frames, ensuring durability and precision in every piece. Responsibilities
- Assemble sofa frames using hand tools and power tools with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Measure and cut materials according to specifications, ensuring precise fitting of components.
- Operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently to shape and assemble frame parts.
- Conduct quality checks throughout the assembly process to ensure structural integrity and finish standards are met.
- Perform heavy lifting of raw materials and completed frames as required, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are stored correctly after use.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets whilst maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, or warehouse environments is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels, etc.
- Experience operating power tools including drills, saws, and sanders is desirable.
- Skills in sewing or fabricating components are advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during the manufacturing process.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
