Responsibilities
The Transportation Category Procurement Manager is responsible for category management for assigned Indirect Spend Category focusing on delivering optimization & service performances goals with suppliers & divisions. She/He will be responsible to support the region for assigned category and work closely with local stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and implement cost reduction projects, and service performance improvement and continuous improvement initiatives. The position covers all EMEA countries, Parker Hannifin Groups and Divisions, as well as Sales Companies.
Your responsibilities
1. Develop the regional category sourcing strategy to drive value and achieve corporate goals.
2. Identify and evaluate sourcing potential (cost, lead times, technologies etc.) by conducting market intelligence.
3. Bundling of the EMEA needs to optimize cost, inventory, and lead times.
4. Conduct RFI/RFP/RFQs/Tendering and business reviews with key suppliers
5. Negotiation of contracts with key suppliers, ensuring proactive contract management.
6. Ensure all activities are conducted within the frame given by internal and external compliance guidelines.
7. Assessment of strategic importance and mitigation of supply market risk.
8. Being accountable for steering, tracking and controlling realization of defined activities within the relevant category: YoY savings, SKU’s standardization, spend contracted, supplier’s consolidation, trade payables aligned to best industry standard
9. Providing functional leadership and direction to stakeholders.
10. Periodical reporting on project progress, functional KPI’s and market trends
Who we are looking for
1. Experience in working with and managing the Indirect Spend Categories with strategic implications across multiple countries,
2. Strong knowledge of the strategic sourcing methodology and its application (e.g. fact-based negotiations and cross functional team collaboration)
3. Experience in managing supplier and customer relationships (building, performance,
development, integration) and the competitive bidding process
4. Service-oriented mindset, with a desire to ensure client satisfaction
5. Strong project management and problem-solving capability
6. Results-oriented and demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment
7. Outstanding functional leadership skills including leading supplier resources and cross-functional teams
8. Bachelor’s degree in the field of Engineering, Supply Chain or business administration, master’s degree is a plus.
9. 7 to 10 years indirect or direct procurement experience in multinational environment.
