Are you experienced operating CNC machinery within a steel, metal fabrication, manufacturing or engineering environment?
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing metal processing business that is investing heavily in modern manufacturing technology and looking to expand its night shift team.
Whether your background is operating laser cutting machines, press brakes, punch presses, CNC presses, folding machinery, tube lasers or similar metalworking equipment, we'd like to hear from you.
What's on Offer?
- £35,000 starting salary
- Potential salary increase to £37,500–£40,000 in the future
- Permanent night shift
- Monday to Thursday, 6pm to 6am
- Three-day weekend every week

The company is also considering moving to a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern in the future. While this would involve occasional weekend working, it would result in significantly fewer working days across the year, giving employees around 50 additional days away from work annually.
The Role
You will be responsible for operating CNC machinery used in the processing and fabrication of sheet metal and steel products.
Depending on your experience, this could include:
- CNC laser cutting machines
- CNC press brakes
- Punching and forming equipment
- Tube laser machinery
- General metal processing equipment
You'll be working within a modern manufacturing environment where quality, efficiency and safety are key priorities.
About You
We are interested in speaking with candidates who have experience operating CNC machinery in a metalworking, engineering or manufacturing environment.
You may currently be working as a:
- Laser Operator
- Press Brake Operator
- CNC Operator
- Punch Press Operator
- Machine Setter/Operator
- Metal Fabricator
- Sheet Metal Worker
- CNC Folding Operator
- Tube Laser Operator
Experience with steel, aluminium or sheet metal processing would be highly advantageous.
