Role: Staff Nurse – ITU

Working Hours: Long days and day shifts within the week. Commitment of one to two shifts per week

We’re looking for a Staff Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit at London Bridge Hospital. You’ll be part of a 28 bedded critical care environment where highly skilled teams deliver complex, specialist care around the clock. With a varied case mix spanning both medical and surgical patients, you’ll have the opportunity to build and deepen your expertise while working with advanced technology and equipment that support high acuity care.
As a Staff Nurse in our Critical Care Unit, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team made up of Consultant Intensivists, Resident Medical Officers and experienced Critical Care Nurses. Together, you’ll care for Level 3 patients in a setting designed to support safe, high quality outcomes, supported by strong nurse to patient ratios. In your day to day practice, you’ll assess, plan and deliver care that is responsive to changing patient needs, while working closely with colleagues and families to ensure a truly joined up approach to treatment and recovery. What you’ll do:

Deliver high quality care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient needs

Provide safe and effective care to critically ill Level 3 patients within a specialist ITU setting

Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, patient centred care

Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and their families

Take accountability for your own clinical practice and maintain high professional standards
What you’ll bring:

Registered General Nurse with a valid NMC pin

Postgraduate ICU qualification
-
Proven experience within an Intensive Care Unit

Exposure to Level 3 patient care

Strong clinical judgement and the ability to work in a fast paced environment
