Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Dispensary Assistant / ACT to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and dispensing of medications under the supervision of a registered pharmacist
- Manage medication inventory, including stock organisation and stock replenishment
- Support patients with medication administration guidance and answer basic queries regarding prescriptions
- Maintain accurate records of dispensed medications and patient interactions in accordance with legal and organisational standards
- Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing prescriptions
- Contribute to patient care by providing compassionate support and ensuring confidentiality at all times
Skills
- Level 2 qualification is essential.
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in dispensing records
- Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism when interacting with patients and team members
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment, supporting colleagues as needed
- Familiarity with pharmacy management systems and basic IT skills are advantageous
