Graduate Raw Materials Trader – York
Wynnstay Group is looking for a motivated and commercially minded graduate to join our GrainLink division as a Raw Materials Trader.
This is an exciting opportunity to kick-start your career in a fast-paced trading environment, where you’ll gain hands-on experience, build industry knowledge, and develop strong commercial and relationship management skills.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a graduate trader, you’ll be supported in learning how to:
- Trade raw materials profitably within your region
- Build strong relationships with farmers, processors, and customers
- Identify new business opportunities, including import and export markets
- Work closely with colleagues across GrainLink and the wider business
- Communicate trading activity clearly to operations and admin teams
- Monitor credit and understand risk management in a commercial setting
- Support compliance, health & safety, and industry standards
- Assist with reporting and market analysis
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Eager to start a career in trading or agriculture
- Commercially aware with strong communication skills
- Confident building relationships and working with others
- Organised and willing to learn in a fast-moving environment
Desirable:
- A degree or HND in Agriculture, Business, Economics, or a related field
