Overview
We are seeking cooks to join our friendly cafe team at both Bensons Tea Rooms and LOAF Sandwich Bar. Vacancy 1: 30 hours over five days in LOAF Sandwich Bar. Vacanices 2 and 3: Negotiable hours in Bensons Tea Rooms. The ideal candidates will possess good kitchen experience and a commitment to delivering great food and service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a friendly team and prepare food in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Oversee food production ensuring quality, presentation, and consistency
- Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards and proper storage procedures
- Working with other team members across the different businesses, to ensure the smooth running of all aspects of service
- Ensure all food preparation meets health and safety regulations
- Serve food efficiently during busy service periods, maintaining excellent customer service standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in a culinary or kitchen environment, preferably within a cafe/tea rooms or hospitality setting
- Good knowledge of food production, preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure during peak hours
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with other team members and customers
This position offers a friendly environment and provides the successful applicant with a daytime cooking role, with no evening working.
Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
