Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Café Manager to lead the daily operations of our busy café. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a strong background in food service, with skills in team management and culinary practices. As a Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining food safety standards, and managing the team to deliver an outstanding café experience along with carrying out admin duties.
Responsibilities
- Leading the daily operations of the café, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Being the first in line and fostering a positive work environment with strong leadership.
- Oversee food preparation and presentation, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
- Implementing and maintaining food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations.
- Keeping all the required documentation up to date in terms of health and safety regulations for the café.
- Dealing with external verndors/suppliers to run the daily operations at café on regular basis.
- Develop menus that reflect current trends while considering customer preferences.
- Complete weekly/monthly reports on Google Sheets as per guidance from the manager.
- End-to-end management of the staff effectively including hiring, rotas, tips, performance and meeting.
- Respond to customer queries via calls and emails.
- Engage with customers to gather feedback and enhance their overall experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role within a café, restaurant, or hotel setting.
- Knowledge of culinary practices, food preparation techniques, and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently with systems like Google Sheets, Rota Management Systems and Till.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and staff alike.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in bartending is advantageous.
