Site Hours: 07:30am - 17:30pm
We are currently looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team on a project based in Canterbury.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Contracts Managers, supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of civil engineering works.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Contracts Managers with the planning and delivery of civil engineering projects.
- Produce and review RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements).
- Prepare, interpret, and manage engineering and construction drawings.
- Develop and maintain project programmes using Microsoft Project.
- Monitor project progress and update programmes to reflect site activities.
- Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
- Support project planning, resource allocation, and sequencing of works.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and health & safety regulations.
- Attend site meetings and provide technical support to site management teams.
- Maintain accurate project records, reports, and documentation.
- Identify and resolve engineering and construction-related issues as they arise.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of civil engineering and construction methodologies.
- Ability to prepare and review RAMS, drawings, and project programmes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and programme management.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with Contracts Managers, site teams, and external stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Requirements:
- Degree, HNC, HND, or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience working as a Civil Engineer within the construction or civil engineering sector.
- Strong experience producing RAMS and managing project documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project is essential.
- Good understanding of UK health & safety legislation and construction regulations.
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
- Right to Work in the UK.
