About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Finance Officer / Bookkeeper to join a well-established not-for-profit organisation in Edinburgh on an permanent basis.
You will work closely with the CEO and a Board finance subgroup to provide essential financial oversight, with no formal handover available. This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-starter who is comfortable prioritising tasks and working independently.
Hours: up to 35 hours if required.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of management accounts
- VAT returns
- Budgeting and P&L reporting
- Audit support (using both SAGE and Xero)
- Day-to-day finance oversight
- Oscar Report uploads
What We're Looking For
- Experienced bookkeeper or Qualified by Experience (QBE) accountant – a fully qualified accountant is not required
- Proficiency in both SAGE and Xero is essential (the organisation is mid-migration from SAGE to Xero)
- Third-sector experience is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently with minimal handover
Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
